World Premier of "The Road"

My latest documentary "The Road" was screened at 2nd Montage International Film Festival in Manjeri (Malappuram District), Kerala on 11 February 2008. This was the first every sceening of this film at a film festival. Around 200 people including students, teachers, activists, artists, writers and other film society fans watched the film.

The response was a mixed one. Some felt it is too light a film. Many liked the sound of the film. A poet said that there was no need for the interview in the end of the film. A student said that the film should have ended with school children. A singer appreciated the fact I make political films.

I met a film producer on the road who had come to the festival and seen the film. He said it is a very good film. He liked the way big trucks move fast in the film.

Rajan from Yadharthaa Film Soceity found the film political. He pointed that there is a narration in the film which does not follow fast cutting style. He also liked the little story in the school portion.

Samraj and Raguramachandran did not say anything after watching the film. I guess they did not find anything interesting in the film.
